Meet Me in St. Louis

Sister Lynch has made it to St. Louis!!! She had a great time in in the MTC, and is excited to be in the mission field.

Hey everyone,
Well where to start. I finally made it to missouri. I survived the MTC. I am in Fredericktown Missouri and it is the sticks/boonies of missouri. There are so many trees here. My companion/trainers name is Sister Minyard (you say it like vineyard but with an m instead of a v). Sister Minyard is awesome. We laugh so much. I love her so much. We have a car. The area we cover is huge. If you where to drive from one side of our area to the other it would take a 3+ hr drive to get to the other. I think the area I cover is bigger then jamies whole mission. Oh ya and we don't have that many miles so we have to be really organized on what we will do each day so we don't burn up any extra miles. We are whitewashing the area. When I first heard that I was being assigned to whitewash an area I was kinda nervous. I didn't understand why they would put a new missionary in an area that is being whitewashed and I kinda felt bad for my trainer because I felt that it would put extra work on her. But I have learned that I am here for a reason and even though we are whitewashing that area that am suppose to be here. Heavenly father has work I need to do here. The church building here is really small. It the size of a small house. And it is a branch not a ward.
Here's what I have done this past week.

When we go to St. Louis it was hot and I can already tell you I'm not going to enjoy the summer so much because of the heat and humidity. So at the airport we met President Morgan (my mission president) and his wife sister Morgan and a bunch of the elders (AP office elders and others). They took us to the office which to meet the staff. Then we to the temple and walked around it and took pictures. The St. Louis temple is beautiful but right next to it is the Baptist University I kinda had a laugh about that. Then we went to the mission home and they had fixed us an amazing dinner pulled pork and it was so much better then the food at the MTC. I love my mission president he looks like he would be super strict and stern but he is soooooo nice and sister Morgan is the best too she is so sweet but she runs a tight ship at the mission home. I met my companion/trainer on wed at transfer meeting and find out I am going to Fredericktown. Frederick town is the area the in the mission that is know for being hard and the place you go think they are punishing  I've even had members tell me that as well. I am so excited though to be here I know Heavenly Father needs me here and I love the people here. I've come to learn and know that no matter where you go you are going where Heavenly Father needs you and that if you have a great out look and positive attitude then you will have success. The last several days we have been trying to get things organized and figure things out and get to know the members but we have been in contact with the investigators we have 8. So last night we where calling the investigators to make appointments with them and one of them named Shari when we called her she was really struggling and we basically had a lesson with her over the phone and she told us that we made her day so much better. Ok so cool story how we got 2 new investigator the other day. We where out going to potential investigators houses and when we one of there houses the person no longer lived there but a man named John did and he came out and talked to us and then his son came out as well and talked to us and we gave them BOM. So he said he was baptist and that in the past he has STUDIED the bible several time but he has always felt that there are things missing and we just testified to them that those missing things are found in the BOM and we are meeting with him on Wed. That same day we went and visited a less active man named john and we asked him to sit by us at church and he came. Me and my companion felt if we hadn't invited them to come he wouldn't. Oh and on Sunday me and my companion bore are testimonies in sacrament and they asked that less active man to bear his testimony after us and the whole time he was bearing his testimony he was crying and looking me straight in the eyes. I am so grateful for the miracles I get to see each day. I love my Heavenly father so much!!
I hope you all have a great week!
