Sister Lynch Update… Finally

I'm so sorry everyone it has been a while since I have posted Sister Lynch's letters, but I will get all caught up, and keep you up to date. Here are her letters in order:

Hey everyone,
Can you believe that I have been gone for almost a month. Time flies! Well this week has been great. We have been working so hard this week. Unfortunately all of our investigators who we had appointments with didn't answer there doors or they would not respond to our calls or text. So we are still trying to get a hold of them. So on Monday me and sister minyard celebrated st. patricks day by going to McDonalds and had our very first shamrock shake it was pretty good. Then we went shopping at the few cute boutiques here in fredericktown I bought 2 scarfs they are so cute. Tuesday we stayed here in fredericktown and we had an appointment with an investigator and she didn't answer the door or our calls. So the rest of the day we went tracting. Knocked on lots of doors (that's not my favorite thing to do but I'm starting to not mind it as much). Later that night we went and visited with some members the Cowlings. They are this older couple who are converts. They joined the church in Spokane. Sister Cowling married brother cowling when she was 14. Wow I can't imagine being that young and getting married but they are still so much in love. We talked to them about faith and Brother Cowling bore his testimony on all he knows is that if you pay your tithing you will be blessed.
On wed we went to Arcadia and sister Oyler (She is AMAZING) drove us all around arcadia and ironton. We had an appointment with John and his son daniel and they didn't answer there door. So we went and visited with some people who are less active without much luck with them being home. Then we went back to sister oylers place and had dinner. So I have to tell you about sister oylers place she lives in this place called the Academy it is a historical place. It use to be a all girls Catholic boarding school. It was built in the 1800s and it is kinda creepy there. There is a catholic chapel that looks like it has an alter of sacrific in it and there is a confessional and a bunch of catholic stuff in it. But they have a restaurant with amazing food and that is where we ate. Oh man and they make the best bread and cinnamon rolls ever.
On Thursday we had district meeting. Man my district leader is so great. I learned so much from the meeting. My district is so great. After the meeting we went and ate at the steak n shake everyone raves about this place. The food was ok, mine was kinda salty but they have the best milk shakes ever. After district meeting we went back to fredericktown and tracted. I don't like knocking on peoples houses because I feel like I'm not good at talking to people and trying to invite them to hear about the gospel. Sister Minyard is so good at it. Then later that night we went and to most of our investigators houses to see could meet them and get in contact with them but once again we had no success in it.
On Friday we went to Centerville and Lesterville where we where going to meet a referral Ed. Sister Oyler drove us there and when we got there we where having difficulty finding his house so we called him and unfortunately he said he was out of town because of a friend was in the hospital and having lots of health issues and he lost our number so he couldn't get a hold of us to let us know he wouldn't be able to make our appointment but he still wants to meet with us sometime this week. So since our appointment fell through we had another investigator in that area who we haven't been able to get a hold of that we decided to go visit. So we turn on her street and the houses all look really run down kinda like they are drug houses and there is TONS of garbage piled up on the sides of the street and in peoples yard and the further we went down the road the houses just kept getting worse looking and there where big dogs every where and we where scarred so we decided to turn around because we just didn't feel good about being there so we keep driving trying to find a place to turn around and there was no where to turn around and we where on a single lane road so finally we decided we will just turn around in right there in the street. So sister minyard and I get out and helped sister oyler turn around it took like 10 + attempts but we got turned around. We all felt like we where going down a road that would lead us to a meth house. I guess this area is the Meth Capital of the country. So then sister oyler takes us to visit some other people. She took us to Joe Miller. He is a great guy he is a convert but has been less active for a little while. Joe talked about why he hasn't been to church and he feels like if he came to church he would be a fony because he feels like he has lost everything including his testimony and all he has left in his life is hope. He is depressed and just wants it all to end. When we where visiting him you could feel the spirit sooooo strong and I could feel and see the love heavenly father has for him. I know he still has a testimony but there just have been things that have happened in his life that he feels guilty for that he feels like he don't deserve gods love. Every time I think about Joe I just want to cry. I know heavenly father loves him so much!
On Saturday we planned most of the day. We made so many calls and basically no one answered.
On Sunday we went to church here in fredericktown and the sacrament talks where so amazing. They where on kindness and service. The one thing I would ask of all of you this week I would love for all of you to serve someone. If you find yourself not having time or can't think of anything you can physically do for someone then at the very least Serve on your knees. The best way we can provide service to someone is praying for them on your knees. We also had church at the home of a women named Betty. Because our area is so big and it takes up to 2.5 hrs or more for some people to get to church building they started a satellite branch so people that live a long ways away could take the sacrament. I got to give the sacrament talk there it was on the plan of salvation. I loved going there. Betty's home is such a special place.
This week has been a great week for me and sister minyard. I finally understand why people say a mission is for the missionary. This week our studies have been amazing. I have learned soooo much from the things we have studied together. This week may not have been successful number wise but I know that we have had so much success. I love being a missionary each day I get to see all the tender mercies heavenly father blesses me and everyone with. As a missionary I feel you are able to see so many things that I never realized before. I love that everyday I get to feel and see the love heavenly father has for ALL of his children.
Oh my heck on monday we had dinner with the pinkley family and as we are about to sit down brandy says oh wait I have something to show you. So she tells us the other day we where driving and someone ahead of us hit a deer so we helped them and pulled the deer off the road and cut the deer up and saved the meat but when we where doing that we found this... and she pulls out of the refrigerator in an open mason jar full of water a deer fetus. You could see its eyes brains and the insides. Oh man me and sister minyard where trying not to make a grossed out face but we couldn't. I was thinking oh man you kept that where the food you just gave me is kept. It was so gross. Oh and guess what a favorite delicasy is down here. Squirrel brains. YUCKY!!
I love all of you and hope you a great week!!
