So many Miracles!

This week has been such a great week! Where to start.
It is getting hot unfortunately :( It is going to be a long a sweaty summer.

Well Tuesday we had a lesson with an investigator who we have been visiting pretty regularly she is really depressed and just always is on her soap box about a lot of different things but it is never gospel related when ever we are there and we have had a difficult time getting her to stay kinda focused well we read a general conference talk and it helped her stay focused and she loved the talk. And guess what we asked her to say the prayer and she said it. Then she was telling us how she feels different almost happier when we are there. It was such a great lesson.
Then on Wednesday we had a lesson with a less active and we talked to her about Elder Hollands talk on defending your faith. The funny part of the lesson was when where talking to her about ways we can defend our faith but how we need to do it with curiosity and kindness. She told us that when ever someone asks her if she is a mormon she gets so mad and tells them I AM NOT A MORMON, I AM MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS me and sister minyard kinda had try and not laugh out loud it was so funny. But this less active has a friend who she has talked to us about a lot and how she has been talking to her about the church and she has even brought her to an activity once. Well we asked her if she could invite her to her house next week when we come over to visit with her. Well unfortunately her friend has to work. Then later night we helped our branch clean up by the hwy. Guess what one of the less active members who we have been working with came to help. It was so great. While we where cleaning we saw a dead armadillo, gross and apparently they carry leprosy so don't touch them!
Thursday what an amazing day. We had zone leader training (zlt). There where so many good training but the most memorable was Elder Christensens training he had all of us stand one by one and bear a very simple testimony. Sister minyard and I where the last 2 to say our testimonies and by the time it got to us the spirit was soooooooo strong almost overwhelming but in a good way. I wish all of you could have been there. It made such an impact on me and sister minyard.
Then on friday we went to the Arcadia area and we visited with a bunch of people but the first was a less active member and her son who is active and because we had just had the amazing testimony experience the day before we decided to talk about testimonies with them and it was such a sweet experience. But one of the best parts of that day was we found 2 new investigators!! So we went to visit this person who was referred to us by a member no one answered the door but as we where turning around we here this hello how can I help you. It was this lady that lived at the house she was there person daughter. Well she invited us right in and she introduced us to her husband and 3 kids. Come to find out she just moved back to the area from texas. Well in texas her family had been investigating the church for about 4 months. At one point in talking with them the woman says I have a question for you.... So do you guys believe that Jesus was God and Sister minyard and I are kinda like ooohhh man she is like everyone out here who thinks He was God but we said no he we believe that God Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are all separate. Then she says oh man so do I. If you study the bible I don't know how people could think that they are all one. And she was like hello who what Christ praying to etc. it was just the best. Then we asked her husband to say a pray and he said it the right way. We had so many more amazing lessons that day too.
On Saturdays we visit with a member. She is the best. She is 92 (I think I have talked about her before maybe even last week0 well this week she has not been feeling well she has a kidney infection and because of that she didn't think she was going to make it to church on Sunday. She was feeling so weak and she was soooo disappointed that she was going to miss testimony meeting so we decided that since she wasn't going to be able to go we all would bear our testimonies and give her a mini testimony meeting it was so great. Her testimony is so strong. The part that got me and sister minyard was when she talked about how she previously because of her health could not say a kneeling prays but since her health has been improving she has been able to. So if a little old frail lady can get on her knees and say her morning and nightly prays we have no excuse not to as well! I love seeing her I wish all members where like her.
On Sunday well it was just the additional frosting on the cake. We had an investigator come to church! She had worked all night she had gotten off work at 8 am and she came sooo tired and in her scrubs. After sacrament she had a few questions that we answered but we really couldn't tell what she was thinking. A few hours after church we got a text from her saying thank you so much for inviting me I am interesting in coming back. You and Dr. Adams (a member who is a dentist in our branch) answered a lot of my questions for my and it really helped and I told you and him I wanted a church where I could feel something. And I did. That means a lot to me. Well to keep the story short. We are having FHE at dr. adams house and she is coming with us. We are so excited.
This week has just been filled with so many miracles. I think the one think I we learned and experienced this week is the power your testimony has individually and in sharing it. So my invitation to all of you is to share you testimony as often as possible.
Every week I have been in fredericktown has been filled with so many blessings an miracles I think to myself how can next week get any better but it does. I am so grateful to be a missionary and get to be apart of the blessing and miracles everyday! I love this gospel and am so grateful for my testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and loves each of us. I know that it is TRUE!!
