Tornado Season

First of all NO there has been no tornadoes just really bad rain, thunder and lightening. The thunder was so strong it shook the whole apartment. Yes they have predicted tornadoes last night and today but I know I will be we will be ok hello I am doing the Lords work and he watches out for us but yes I will stay safe and I will try not to die.

This week has been a great week. This weekend was stake conference and transfers but I am staying in fredericktown this transfer. There is a new sister missionary in my district. So I am not the greenie in my district any more. My green is beginning to fade. Tuesday was so such a busy day we had sooooo many lessons we had like 6-7 lessons and we prepared such a great lesson that we shared with all of them. Our lesson was on how we prepare for the second coming. We used a lot of general conference talks. It was so good to visit and teach so many of our members and even to get to visit with the branch president (the bishop). Unfortunately all of our investigators cancelled there appointments this week, oh well we have appointments with them this week. But we did find a new investigator. She is in her late 60s but she and divorced but she talked and talked and talked to us about her family and we where able to talk to her about family history. We have an appointment with her this week and we are going to talk to her about family history. This weekend we visited with on of our members she is 92 and she is the greatest person ever. She has such a strong testimony. The last few years she has had some health problems so she hasn't been able to attend church but she is a person I wouldn't call less active because she has been doing all she could to remain strong in the gospel. I wish all members where like her. When we where visiting with her she was having really bad back pain because of her arthritis and she told us I just started being able to go back to church I am not going to let this pain stop me from going to church even it kills me. She is just the best. So she has been a member her whole life. She has this picture of Heber J Grant on her porch. He was at her house when he opened the eastern states mission. How cool would that be to have a prophet on your porch. She loves missionary so much she had so many story's about missionaries. All of her life growing up the missionaries stayed in her home. When we called her to see if we could meet with her she was so excited and couldn't stop saying I love missionaries. I wish all of you could meet her some day. She did tell us something in talked about in her patriarchal blessing that makes me think that the second coming will be here soon.

Stake conference was great. They talked about family history and the temple. It was so up lifting and the spirit was so strong. So on Saturday we went with a recent convert and she was kinda dressed not so modestly (she was wearing a sleeveless dress) so everyone kept coming up to her thinking she was an investigator but she thought it was funny. Thenon Sunday we had a member call us and tell us she was bring a friend who was a theology student (he goes to a Methodist) who she has been talking to a lot about the church and she wanted us to talk to him. We didn't get much time to talk to him before conference started but we talked to him after and he just said well its pretty much like all the other church conferences I have been to. So who knows what will come of it.

Well I hope you guys are enjoying the spring weather. This week was the first week I was out tracting and got rained on. We went back to the apartment soaked.
